《天堂与地狱》 第45节

45、这一切都清楚地表明,在天堂里,所有天使被良善联系在一起,并根据良善的品质而被区分。然而,不是天使自己以这种方式联系在一起的,而众善之源的主将他们联系在一起的。主引领他们,在他们中间联合和区分,并保守他们在与其良善相称的自由中,即在他们自己的爱和信仰并聪明和智慧的生命中、及由此而来的幸福中{注1}

{注1}:一切自由皆属于爱和情感,因为人所爱的,就是他自由自在地去做的(287031588987899095859591)。因为自由属于爱,所以每个人的生命及快乐由此而来(2873)。没有什么东西看似是人自己的,除非出于他的自由(2880)。真自由就是被主引领,因为那就是被对良善和真理的爱引领(8929052872288628902891289290969586-9591)。

45. We can see from this that the good gathers everyone together in the heavens, and that angels are differentiated by what good they do. Still, it is not the angels who gather themselves, but the Lord, the source of all that is good. He leads them, unites them, differentiates them, and keeps them in freedom to the extent that they are engaged in what is good. So he keeps every individual in the life of his or her own love, faith, intelligence, and wisdom - and therefore in happiness. 1

1. All freedom is a matter of love and attraction, because whatever we love we do freely: 2870, 3158, 8907 [8987?], 8990, 9585, 9591. Since freedom is a matter of love, it is the source of life and joy for every individual: 2873. Nothing seems to be our own unless it comes from freedom: 2880. 45. All this makes it clear that it is good that associates all in the heavens, and that they are distinguished in accordance with its quality. Yet it is not the angels who themselves associate in this way, but the Lord from Whom the good is. The Lord leads them, conjoins and distinguishes between them, and preserves them in freedom proportionate to their good. Thus He preserves everyone in the life of his own love and faith, of his own intelligence and wisdom and the resulting happiness. 1

45. All this makes clear that all in the heavens are affiliated by good, and are distinguished according to the quality of the good. Nevertheless it is not the angels who thus affiliate themselves, but the Lord, from whom the good is. The Lord leads them, conjoins and separates them, and preserves them in freedom proportionate to their good. Thus He holds everyone in the life of his love and faith, of his intelligence and wisdom, and the resulting happiness. 1
