173、天堂里事物产生的方式与世上事物产生的方式不同。在天堂,一切事物的产生都源自主,与天使的内层相对应。因为天使既有内层也有外层。其内层里的一切事物都与爱和信有关,因而与意志和理智有关,因为意志和理智是它们的容器,而他们的外层则对应他们的内层。外层对应内层可参看前文(87-115节),这可以通过上面所说的天堂的热和光来说明——天使依照其爱的品质而拥有热,依照其智慧的品质而拥有光(128-134节)。在天使的感官面前出现的所有其它事物也是如此。

Heaven and Hell #173 (NCE, 2000)

173. Things that arise in the heavens do not arise in the same way as things on earth. In the heavens, everything comes into being from the Lord in response to the deeper natures of the angels. Angels do in fact have more inward and more outward natures. Everything that is deeper within them has to do with love and faith, and therefore with their intending and discernment, since their intending and discernment are the vehicles of their love and faith. Their more outward natures, though, are perfectly responsive to their inner natures (on the responsiveness of their outward natures to their more inward ones, see 87-115 above). This can be illustrated by what we have said above about heaven's warmth and light, that angels have warmth in keeping with the quality of their love, and light in keeping with the quality of their wisdom (see 128-134). The same holds true for the other things that impinge on angels' senses.

Heaven and Hell #173 (Harley, 1958)

173. The things which come into existence in the heavens do not do so in the same manner as do the things on earth. In the heavens, all things come into existence from the Lord in accordance with their correspondences with the interiors of the angels. For angels have both interiors and exteriors. All things in their interiors have relation to love and faith, thus to the will and the understanding, for the will and the understanding are their receptacles, while their exteriors correspond to their interiors. That exteriors correspond to interiors may be seen above (87-115). This can be illustrated by what has been said above about the heat and light of heaven-that angels have heat in accordance with the quality of their love, and light in accordance with the quality of their wisdom (see 28-134). The same is true of all other things that present themselves before the senses of the angels.

173. The things that come forth in heaven do not come forth in the same manner as those on the earth. All things in heaven come forth from the Lord in correspondence with the interiors of the angels. For angels have both interiors and exteriors. All things in their interiors have relation to love and faith, thus to the will and understanding, since the will and understanding are their receptacles; while their exteriors correspond to their interiors. That exterior things correspond to interior things may be seen above (87-115). This is illustrated by what has been said above about the heat and light of heaven, that angels have heat in accordance with the quality of their love, and light in accordance with the quality of their wisdom (128-134). The like is true of all other things that present themselves to the senses of angels.

173. Illa quae in caelis existunt, non existunt similiter sicut illa quae in terris in caelis omnia existunt a Domino secundum correspondentias cum interioribus angelorum sunt enim angelis interiora et exteriora quae in interioribus illorum sunt, se referunt omnia ad amorem et fidem, ita ad voluntatem et intellectum, nam voluntas et intellectus sunt receptacula illorum exteriora autem correspondent interioribus quod exteriora correspondeant interioribus, videatur supra (87-115).
