  5709.“他们就饮酒”表在良善之下对真理的应用。这从“饮”的含义清楚可知,“饮”是指真理的交流,并将其变成人自己的(参看3168377240174018节),因此也指对真理的应用。之所以“在良善之下”,是因为对真理的一切应用都是在良善之下进行的(参看5704节)。

That this signifies the application of truths under good, is evident from the signification of "drinking," as being the communication and appropriation of truth (see n. 3168, 3772, 4017, 4018), hence also its application. It is "under good," because all the application of truth is effected under good (see above, n. 5704).

5709. 'And they drank' means the application of the truths beneath good. This is clear from the meaning of 'drinking' as the communication of truth and making it one's own, dealt with in 3168, 3772, 4017, 4018, and therefore an application of it also. The reason beneath good is meant is that whenever there is any application of truth, this takes place beneath good, see above in 5704.
