“于是我就大哭，因为发现没有人配打开、阅读、观看那书卷”表示如果没有人能知道、认识和探究所有人，以及属于他们的一切事物，由于一切事物的混乱和毁灭而内心悲伤(306节)。
“长老中有一位”表示一个天堂社群，该社群在智慧上优于其它社群(307节)；“对我说，不要哭”表示无需为此感到悲伤(308节)；“看哪，已经得胜的狮子”表示主凭祂自己的能力征服地狱，使天堂里的一切事物都恢复秩序(309节)；“来自犹大支派，大卫的根”表示通过在祂人身中与神性真理合一的神性良善(310节)；“能打开那书卷，松开那七印”表示祂知道，并且认识所有人和每个人，以及每个人最隐秘的东西(311节)。
305. Verses 4, 5. And I wept much, that no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look therein. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion which is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
"And I wept much, that no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look therein," signifies, grief of heart on account of the disorder and ruin of all, if no one could know, have cognisance of, and explore all men, and all things pertaining to them.
"And one of the elders" signifies, a society of heaven which [was] in wisdom above the rest; "saith unto me, Weep not," signifies lest there be grief hence; "behold, the Lion hath prevailed," signifies, that the Lord from His own power subjugated the hells, and reduced all things in the heavens to order; "of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David," signifies, by the Divine good united to the Divine truth in His Human; "to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof," signifies that He knows and has cognisance of all men and every man, and the most secret things of every one.
305. Verses 4, 5. And I wept much, that no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, weep not; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
4. "And I wept much, that no one was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon," signifies grief of heart on account of the disorder and destruction of all things, if no one could know [scire], cognize [cognoscere], and explore all men, and all things pertaining to men (n. 306).
5. "And one of the elders" signifies a society of heaven superior in wisdom to the rest (n. 307); "saith unto me, Weep not," signifies that there need be no grief on that account (n. 308); "behold, the Lion hath overcome," signifies that the Lord from His own power subjugated the hells, and reduced all things in the heavens to order (n. 309); "from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David," signifies by means of Divine good united to Divine truth in His Human (n. 310); "to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof," signifies that He knows and recognizes all and each, and the most secret things of everyone (n. 311).
305. "Et ego flebam multum, quod nemo dignus inventus aperire et legere librum nec inspicere eum. Et unus ex senioribus dicit mihi, Ne fleto, ecce vicit Leo, qui est ex tribu Jehudae, Radix Davidis, aperire librum et solvere septem sigilla ejus."
4. "Et ego flebam multum, quod nemo dignus inventus aperire et legere librum nec inspicere eum", significat dolorem cordis ob inordinationem et interitum omnium, si nemo posset omnes et omnia eorum scire, cognoscere et explorare [n. 306] .

"Et unus ex senioribus", significat societatem caeli quae prae reliquis in sapientia [n. 307] ; dicit mihi, Ne fleto", significat ne sit dolor inde [n. 308] ; "ecce vicit Leo, significat Dominum, quod ex propria potentia subjugaverit inferna, et redegerit omnia in caelis in ordinem [n. 309] ; "ex tribu Jehudae, Radix Davidis", significat per Divinum Bonum unitum Divino Vero in suo Humano [n. 310] : "aperire librum, et solvere septem sigilla ejus", significat quod sciat et cognoscat omnes et singulos, et occultissima cujusvis [n. 311] .
