出埃及记14


  1.耶和华晓谕摩西说,
  2.你吩咐以色列人转回,安营在比哈希录前、密夺和海之间,巴力洗分前面;你要对着它靠近海边安营。
  3.法老必论到以色列人说,他们在地中绕迷了,旷野把他们困住了。
  4.我要使法老的心刚硬,他要追袭他们,我便在法老和他全军身上得荣耀,埃及人就知道我是耶和华。于是,他们就这样行了。
  5.有人告诉埃及王,百姓逃跑!法老和他的臣仆就向百姓变心,说,我们容以色列走,不再服事我们,我们这是作的什么事呢?
  6.法老就套上他的战车,带领百姓与他同去。
  7.他带着六百辆特选的战车和埃及所有的战车,他们都有三级兵长。
  8.耶和华使埃及王法老的心刚硬,他就追袭以色列人,以色列人却以高举的手出来了。
  9.埃及人追袭他们,法老一切的战车马匹、马兵与军队,就在靠近比哈希录、巴力洗分前面,在海边安营的地方追上他们。
  10.法老临近的时候,以色列人举目看见埃及人追赶他们,就甚惧怕;以色列人向耶和华哀求。
  11.他们对摩西说,难道在埃及没有坟地,你把我们带来死在旷野吗?你为什么这样待我们,将我们从埃及领出来呢?
  12.我们在埃及不是对你说过这话,说,不要管我们,容我们服事埃及人吗?因为服事埃及人比死在旷野还好。
  13.摩西对百姓说,不要惧怕,只管站住!看耶和华今天向你们所要施行的救恩。因为,你们今天所看见的埃及人,必永远不再看见了。
  14.耶和华必为你们争战,你们只管静默。
  15.耶和华对摩西说,你为什么向我哀求呢?你吩咐以色列人往前行。
  16.你举起你的杖,向海伸手,把它劈开,以色列人要进到海中间的干地上。
  17.看哪,我要使埃及人的心刚硬,他们就必跟在以色列人后头,我要在法老和他的全军、战车、马兵上得荣耀。
  18.我在法老和他的战车、马兵上得荣耀的时候,埃及人就知道我是耶和华了。
  19.神的使者启程,在以色列营前面行走,转到他们后边去;云柱也从他们前面启程,立在他们后面。
  20.它来到埃及人的营和以色列营之间;它是云和黑暗,照亮黑夜;终夜彼此不得接近。
  21.摩西向海伸手;耶和华便终夜用极强的东风,使海退去,使海成了干地,水也裂开了。
  22.以色列人进到海中间的干地上,水在他们的左右给他们作了墙垣。
  23.埃及人追袭,跟在他们后头,法老一切的马匹、战车和马兵都进入海中间。
  24.到了晨更的时候,耶和华从云火柱中眺望埃及人的营,使埃及人的营混乱了。
  25.又使他的轮脱落,使他们驾车沉重,以致埃及人说,我要从以色列面前逃跑;因耶和华为他们与埃及人争战。
  26.耶和华对摩西说,你向海伸手,叫水回到埃及人并他的战车、马兵身上。
  27.摩西就向海伸手,到了天一亮,海水回到原流的分量。埃及人遇海逃跑,耶和华把他们推翻在海中间。
  28.水就回流,淹没了战车和马兵,甚至跟在以色列人后头下海的法老全军,他们连一个也没有剩下。
  29.以色列人却走在海中间的干地上,水在他们的左右给他们作了墙垣。
  30.当日,耶和华这样拯救以色列脱离埃及人的手,以色列看见埃及人死在海岸上。
  31.以色列看见耶和华向埃及人所施展的大手,百姓就敬畏耶和华,又信服耶和华和祂的仆人摩西。

8125. THE CONTENTS. In this chapter, in the internal sense, the subject treated of is the first temptation of those who are of the spiritual church, and the conducting of them through the midst of hell, and their protection then by the Lord; and also the immersion of those who were in faith separate from charity in hell, where are falsities from evils. They who are of the spiritual church are represented by the sons of Israel; they who are in faith separate from charity by the Egyptians. The first temptation is described by the murmuring of the sons of Israel when they saw the army of Pharaoh. Hell is signified by the "sea Suph" through which the sons of Israel were conducted in safety, and in which the Egyptians were immersed. Falsities from evils are signified by the waters which covered the latter.

CONTENTS

This chapter deals in the internal sense with the first temptation, undergone by those belonging to the spiritual Church, and with their guidance through the middle of hell and protection then by the Lord. The chapter also deals with the submersion of those governed by faith separated from charity into the hell where falsities arising from evils prevail Those belonging to the spiritual Church are represented by the children of Israel, and those governed by faith separated from charity by the Egyptians. The first temptation is described by the grumbling of the children of Israel when they saw Pharaoh's army. Hell is meant by the Sea Suph through which the children of Israel were guided in safety and in which the Egyptians were drowned, falsities arising from evils being meant by the waters that overwhelmed them.
