173. Regeneration
Anyone who does not begin to live a spiritual life-that is, who is not born anew by means of the Lord-cannot come into heaven. This is what the Lord tells us in John: "Truly, truly I say to you, unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
173. Chapter 13. Rebirth
If we do not accept a spiritual life — in other words, if are not newly born from the Lord — we cannot go to heaven. The Lord taught this in John: “I tell you the truth: unless you are born a second time, you cannot see God’s realm” (John 3:3).
