72、每个社群在整体上显为一个人形,是因为天堂在整体上显为人形(如前文所述)。此外,在诸如天堂这样最完美的形像中,部分与整体相似,较小的形式与最大的形式相似(参见51-58节)。这种相似是永恒的,因为在天堂里,所有的良善都来自同一个爱,也就是说,来自同一个源头。这独一的爱,是天堂里所有良善的源头,就是对主的爱,这爱来自主。正因如此,整个天堂在总体上呈现主的样式,{注1}局部的各社群以及具体的每一个天使也都呈现主的样式,如前所述(第58节)。

{注1}:【中】这里译为“样式”(likeness)的地方,也可以中译为“形像”。史威登堡在《属天的奥秘》中解释道:“形像”(image)不等于“样式”(likeness),而是遵照“样式”,故经上说:“我们要照着我们的形像,按着我们的样式造人。”(创世记1:26)属灵之人具有上帝的“形像”,属天之人具有上帝的“样式”(51)。从这个意义讲,“样式”是比“形像”更像主的形像。本中文版中,在不特别强调属天、属灵的差异时,习惯上将“likeness”译为“形像”。

72. The reason each community appears in human likeness when it is seen all together as a unit is that heaven as a whole has this likeness, as may be seen in the preceding chapter; and in the most perfect form, like the form of heaven, there is a likeness of parts and whole, of lesser and greatest. The lesser elements and parts of heaven are the communities of which it consists, each of which is a heaven in lesser form, as may be seen above in 51-58.

The reason for this constant likeness is that in the heavens all the qualities stem from a single love and therefore from a single source. The single love that is the origin of everything good in heaven is love for the Lord from the Lord. This is why all heaven is a likeness of him on the grand scale, every community a likeness on a less grand scale, and every angel in specific. See what has been said on this matter above in 58.

72. Each society, when it appears as one whole, is in the likeness of a man for the reason that heaven as a whole so appears, as may be seen in the preceding section. Moreover, in the most perfect form such as that of heaven is, there is likeness of the parts with the whole, and of lesser parts with the greatest. The lesser forms and parts of heaven are the societies of which it consists which also are heavens in lesser form, as may be seen above (51-58). This likeness is continuous throughout because in the heavens the goods of all are from one love, thus from one origin. The one love which is the origin of the good of all in heaven is love to the Lord from the Lord. It is from this that the entire heaven in general, any one society less generally, and each angel in particular is a likeness of the Lord. What has been further said on this matter may be seen above (58).
