Apocalypse Revealed (Rogers translation 2007) 217

217. "'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.'" (3:20) This symbolically means that the Lord is present with everyone in the Word, and He presses there to be received, teaching how He can be.

Similar to this is the Lord's statement in Luke,

You yourselves (must) be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. (Luke 12:36)

That a door symbolizes admittance and an entryway may be seen in no. 176 above.

Apocalypse Revealed (Coulson translation 1970) 217

217. [verse 20] 'Behold I stand at the door (janua) and knock' signifies that the Lord is present with every one in the Word, and draws nigh there to be received, and teaches how [this may come to pass]. [Words] similar to these are said by the Lord in Luke:

You shall be like unto men who wait for their Lord, when He is going no return from the wedding, so that when He comes and knocks, they may open to Him immediately. Luke 12:36.

That a 'door' signifies admission and entrance may be seen above (176).

Apocalypse Revealed (Whitehead translation 1928) 217

217. Verse 20. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock, signifies that the Lord is present to everyone in the Word, and is there pressing to be received, and teaches how. Something similar to this is said by the Lord in Luke:

Be ye like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately, (Luke 12:36).

That "door" signifies admission and entrance, may be seen above, (176).

Apocalypsis Revelata 217 (original Latin 1766)

217. (Vers. 20.) - His similia dicuntur a Domino apud Lucam:
