Potts(1905-1910) 8718

8718. But every small word let them judge. That this signifies the appearance of some particular and singular things as from another source, is evident from the things unfolded just above (n. 8717), namely, that by their bringing every great word unto Moses is signified that each and all things down to the veriest singulars are from the Lord. From this it also follows that "a small word" too, that is, things particular and singular, are from Him. That there is an appearance that they are from another source will be seen below.

Elliott(1983-1999) 8718

8718. 'And every small matter let them judge themselves' means the appearance that some particular and specific things derive from another source. This is clear from the explanation immediately above in 8717, where it is shown that 'every great thing let them bung to Moses' means that all things generally and specifically, even the most specific, have their origin in the Lord, from which it follows that 'small matter', that is, particular and specific things, have their origin in Him. The fact that they appear to derive from another source will be seen below.

Latin(1748-1756) 8718

@1 adducent AIT$ @2 i nunc$
