[NCE]864. Genesis 8:7. And he sent out a raven, and it went out, going and coming back till the water dried up on the earth.
He sent out a raven, and it went out, going and coming back, means that falsity still troubled them. The raven symbolizes falsity. Going and coming back symbolizes the stage they were in, which fluctuated in just this way. Till the water dried up on the earth symbolizes apparently getting rid of falsity.

Potts(1905-1910) 864

864. Verse 7. And he sent forth a raven, and it went forth, going and returning, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. "And he sent forth a raven, and it went forth, going and returning" signifies that falsities still made disturbance; by a "raven" are signified falsities; and by "going forth, going and returning" is signified that such was their state; "until the waters were dried up from off the earth" signifies the apparent dissipation of falsities.

Elliott(1983-1999) 864

864. Verse 7 And he sent out a raven, and it went out going back and forth until the waters dried up from over the earth.

'He sent out a raven, and it went out going back and forth' means that falsities were still giving trouble; 'a raven' means falsities, 'going back and forth' means that such was their state. 'Until the waters dried up from over the earth' means the apparent dispersal of falsities.

Latin(1748-1756) 864

864. Vers. 7.
