Potts(1905-1910) 8062

8062. And leaven shall not be seen with thee. That this signifies that neither must any falsity be admitted, is evident from the signification of "leaven," as being falsity (see n. 7906). That which is falsified, which is signified by "what is leavened," and falsity, which is signified by "leaven," differ in the fact that what is falsified is truth applied to confirm evil, and falsity is everything that is contrary to truth.

Elliott(1983-1999) 8062

8062. 'And no yeast shall be seen among you' means that nor shall any falsity at all be accepted. This is clear from the meaning of 'yeast' as falsity, dealt with in 7906. The difference between something falsified, which is meant by 'something made with yeast', and falsity, which is meant by 'yeast', is that something falsified is truth used to justify evil, whereas falsity is everything that is the opposite of truth.

Latin(1748-1756) 8062

@1 at$ @2 i et bonum$
