Potts(1905-1910) 4518

4518. And I am mortals [few] of number. That this signifies that it would be easy, is evident from the meaning of the expression "mortals few of number," as being a few; but when in accordance with the series in the internal sense quality is understood instead of quantity, what is easy is signified. For when, as we now read, "many are gathered together upon" a few, these are easily destroyed.

Elliott(1983-1999) 4518

4518. 'And I am [a few] mortals in number' means that it would be easy.... This is clear from the meaning of 'mortars in number' as a few. But when the train of thought in the internal sense refers to the quality of something instead of its quantity, that which is easy is meant. For when many are gathered together against them, as mentioned next, those who are a few are easily destroyed.

Latin(1748-1756) 4518

@1 Heb. [ ] (methe mispar) = `men of number,' i.e., men to be counted or few men: S usually translates methim by homines. Mortales is probably due to association with Heb. [ ] (muth) to die.$
