  3506.创世记27:5-7.以撒对他儿子以扫说话,利百加也听见了。以扫往田野去打猎,要把野味带回来。利百加就对她儿子雅各说,看哪,我听见你父亲对你哥哥以扫说话,说,你把野味给我带来,做成美味给我吃,我好在未死之先,在耶和华面前给你祝福。
  “以撒对他儿子以扫说话,利百加也听见了”表对真理的情感和出于这情感的生命。“以扫往田野去打猎,要把野味带回来”表对良善的情感获得可以与神圣理性联结的真理的努力。“利百加就对她儿子雅各说”表主出于神圣真理对属世真理的直觉。“看哪,我听见你父亲对你哥哥以扫说话,说”表神圣理性的神圣良善渴望对良善的情感。“你把野味给我带来”表从良善所获得的真理。“做成美味”表从来自这真理的愉悦所得来的渴望和快乐。“给我吃”表以这种方式归为己有。“在耶和华面前给你祝福”表由此的结合。“我好在未死之先”表因此在属世层里面的生命。

3506. Verses 5-7. And Rebekah heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son; and Esau went to the field to hunt for a hunting, to bring it. And Rebekah said unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying, Bring me a hunting, and make me dainties, and I will eat, and will bless thee before Jehovah before my death. "And Rebekah heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son," signifies the affection of truth and life from it; "and Esau went to the field to hunt for a hunting, to bring it" signifies the endeavor of the affection of good to procure truth which might be adjoined to the Divine rational; "and Rebekah said unto Jacob her son, saying," signifies the perception of the Lord from Divine truth concerning natural truth; "behold I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying," signifies that the Divine good of the Divine rational desired the affection of good; "bring me a hunting," signifies the truth of good; and "make me dainties," signifies the desire and delight from the pleasantness thence; "and I will eat," signifies appropriation thus; "and will bless thee before Jehovah," signifies conjunction thereby; "before my death," signifies thus life in the natural.

3506. Verses 5-7 And Rebekah was listening to Isaac while he spoke to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, to bring it [home]. And Rebekah said to Jacob her son - she said - Behold, I listened to your father speaking to Esau your brother, saying, Bring me venison, and make me savoury food, and I will eat, and I will bless you before Jehovah, before my death.

'Rebekah was listening to Isaac while he spoke to Esau his son' means the affection for truth and the life from that affection. 'And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, to bring it [home]' means the effort of the affection for good to acquire the truth that was to be allied to the Divine Rational. 'And Rebekah said to Jacob her son - she said' means the Lord's perception from Divine Truth concerning natural truth. 'Behold, I listened to your father speaking to Esau your brother, saying' means that the desire of the Divine Good of the Divine Rational was for the affection for good. 'Bring me venison' means truth acquired from good. 'And make me savoury food' means the desire and pleasure gained from the pleasantness received from that truth. 'And I will eat' means in that way making it its own. 'And I will bless you before Jehovah' means conjunction thereby. 'Before my death' means life thus within the natural.
