[NCE]1367. The symbolism of Haran as deeper idolatrous worship and that of Terah as idolatrous worship in general has been stated and illustrated before [1356, 1363]. The fact that the land of his birth symbolizes the source and that their idolatrous worship developed from it is established by the symbolism of birth as origins and developments, discussed earlier, at verses 10, 27 [1330, 1360].
